49. George Washington AKERS was born on 30 Apr 1847 in Akersville, Fulton County, Pennsylvania (then Bedford Co.). He died on 9 Sep 1914 in Akersville, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. Obituary: "George W. Akers. Monday morning, September 7 [1914], George W. Akers, a well known citizen of Akersville, Fulton County, suffered a paralytic stroke and died a short time afterward. He was born at Akersville and was aged 67 years, four months and seven days. His wife, who was Miss Rebecca Hanks, died about fourteen years ago. Two daughters and one son survive: Mrs. Dorsey Barnes of Piney Creek, Homer Akers of Hartford, S.D., and Miss Goldie at home. A brother, William Akers of Sebastian, Tex., and two sisters, Mrs. Benjamin Hanks of near Everett and Mrs. Emily Chamberlain of Ogden, Ia., are also living. Funeral services were held in the Akersville M.E. Church last Friday afternoon."

He was buried in Akersville Cemetery, Akersville, Brush Creek Twp. Fulton Co. Pennsylvania.

She died on 21 Jun 1900 in Akersville, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. She was buried in Akersville Cemetery, Akersville, Brush Creek Twp. Fulton Co. Pennsylvania.
