AKERS was born on 9 Mar 1836 in Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
She died on 4 May 1904 in Conrad, Grundy County, Iowa. Obituary
from Conrad, Iowa "RECORD" issue of 6 May 1904:
Mrs. N. D. Frazey, who was stricken with pneumonia, Saturday, died Wednesday
evening at 10:00. Mrs. Frazey had been in failing health for over a year, but
her sickness was never of such a character as to alarm the family. Last week
she contracted a severe cold which developed into pneumonia. Mrs. Frazey was
highly respected and much beloved in the community where she has lived for about
forty years.
Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Sarah Jane Akers was born in Fulton county, Pa., March 9th, 1836, and died at
her home in Conrad, May 4, 1904, aged sixty-eight years, one month and twenty
five days.
On January 10, 1861, she was married to Mr. N.D. Frazey and the same year they
moved to Illinois, where they lived until 1868 when they moved to Iowa and settled
in Grundy county, where for all these years she has made her home.
To this union was born eight children, six of whom, together with her devoted
husband, survive her, namely: Mrs. Laura Canon of Edgerton, Minnesota; Mrs. Elma
Rohl of Pillager, Minnesota; Dr. B.O. Frazey of Gladbrook; Mrs. Winnie Bristley
and William and Daisy Frazey of Conrad.
Mrs. Frazey has been a devout and consistent member of the M.E. church ever since
her early childhood, her life being an example of simplicity and christian fortitude.
She will be missed not only by the members of her own family, but by the community
as well. Of a quiet and retiring disposition, and not given to speaking her own
praise, she won and held her friends by a bond of love and respect that grew
stronger with the passing years.
Funeral services were held at the home Saturday at 10:00 a.m., conducted by Rev.
L.E. Gallagher, attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and neighbors.
Interment in Conrad cemetery.
Sarah Jane AKERS and Nathan Darley FRAZEY were married on 10 Jan 1861.
Nathan Darley FRAZEY (son of Noah FRAZEY and Eliza
MAIKEN) was born on 10 Nov 1835 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
He died on 7 May 1916 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Obituary:
"NATHAN D. FRAZEY DEAD -- Came to Grundy County in 1868. Died in Lincoln,
Nebr., Following Long Illness. N.D. Frazey, a pioneer of this community, died
Sunday afternoon at 3:30, at his home in Lincoln, Neb., following a protracted
illness of cirrhosis of the liver and complications. The body was brought here
Wednesday morning accompanied by relatives, and taken to Conrad cemetery where
short funeral services were held at the family lot conducted by Rev. L.E. Gallagher,
of Green Mountain and attended by many old friends. Mrs. George Frederick and
Miss Elsie Stover sang. The pall bearers were: Wm. Tapps, J.J. Lighter, John
Morrow, W.A. Clinite; J.F. Keefer and A.W. Randall. A profusion of beautiful
floral offerings were banked about the grave, attesting the high esteem in which
the deceased was held.
Brief services were held at his late home in Lincoln Tuesday afternoon.
Nathan Darley Frazey was born in Pennsylvania Nov. 10, 1835, being aged 80 years,
5 months and 27 days.
On January 10, 1861 he was married to Sarah Jane Akers, of Fulton county, Pa.,
who preceded him to the higher life twelve years ago. In the same year of their
marriage they moved to Illinois where they resided for seven years, when they
moved to Iowa, settling in Felix township, Grundy county, residing here until
five years ago when they moved to Lincoln, Neb.
To this union were born eight children: Mrs. Laura Canon, of Interior S.D., Mrs.
Elma Rohl, of Pillager, Minn., Mrs. Rose Bristley, deceased; Dr. B.O. Frazey
of Marshalltown, Iowa, Mrs. Winifred Bristley, of Conrad, William and Miss Daisy
of Lincoln, and Freddie H. who died in infancy. He is also survived by one brother,
B.F.H. Frazey of Rockford, IL., and one sister, Mrs. Ella Brown, of Lincoln,
the only remaining members of a family of eight children. All the surviving children
of deceased but two were at his bedside when he passed away. . .relatives from
abroad attending the funeral of the N.D. Frazey were: Mrs. Laura Canon, of Interior,
S.D., Mrs. Elma Rohl, Pillager, Minn., William and Miss Daisy Frazey, of Lincoln,
Neb., Dr. and Mrs. B.O. Frazey, and son, of Marshalltown, Iowa, Miss Viola Canon,
of Interior, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson of Valley Junction, Iowa and
B.F.H. Frazey, of Rockford, Illinois."
