HOLD RITES SATURDAY FOR WM. HENRY AKERS -- Wm. Henry Akers who died Monday [8
Feb] at the Hunt hospital, will be buried in Palm cemetery at Naranja Saturday
afternoon, it was announced last night by Turner Funeral Home which is in charge
of arrangements. The Rev. C. N. Walker, pastor of the Baptist Church, will conduct
the services at the cemetery at 2 o'clock.
Mr. Akers, who was 96 years old and had been under the care of Mrs. Florence
Hunt for the past four years, was born in Pennsylvania and came to Florida 22
years ago. He came to the Redland District shortly afterward and has made his
home in Naranja, Modello and Homestead.
He leaves three sons: C.L. Akers of Homestead, J.W. Akers of Corvallis, Oregon,
L.D. Akers of Prairie View, [K]an.; and one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Akers of
San Francisco, Cal.
