"In 1912 the Irrigation Colony came in, and settled west of Interior, along
White River. This consisted of the Norbys, . . . These families did mostly trucking
and farming. . .The Douglas Canons came from Iowa to Fort Pierre, and came down
to Interior with the Irrigation Colony. They had eight children, but only their
three youngest daughters were at home at the time they moved to Interior. They
are Edith (Mrs. Guy Harvey), Frances (Mrs. Albert Carlbom), and Viola Sullivan.
. .Albert Carlbom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Carlbom were from Sweden."
