Dr. Benjamin Franklin Mardis, son of Samuel L. Mardis, was born on Sept. 21,
1860, on the old Mardis homestead, where he resided until 1881, after which he
several years in the state of Ohio. On returning home in 1887, he entered the
dental department of of the University of Baltimore, where he graduated 2 years
later and in 1889 he relocated in the city of Jonestown, PA where he practiced
dentistry.
Dr. Benjamin Franklin MARDIS and Ida LICHTENFELTS were married in 1890 in
Bolivar, West Wheatfield Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
